Palisades Crime: DUI, Camping on the Beach, Stolen Purse

The following June 8, 2016 crime report was supplied by LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore of the West L.A. Division. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Prevent Vehicle Burglary. Lock your doors and do not leave any property visible.
BURGLARY/THEFT from MOTOR VEHICLE 

• 15700 Sunset, btwn 6/3/16 at 9 PM and 6/4/16 at 9 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle to open the hood and take the car battery.
• Sunset/Pacific Coast Hwy, 6/4/16 btwn 11:30 AM and 1 PM. The suspect used victim’s vehicle keys to enter victim’s vehicle and took a cell phone and sunglasses.
• 14900 Alva Dr, 6/4/16 at 2:20 AM. The suspect pried open a window on victim’s vehicle to enter and took golf clubs and the rear vehicle seats.
• Bashford/Monument, 6/4/16 btwn 9:25 AM and 10:25 AM. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a wallet, sunglasses, and keys.

BURGLARY 

• 15200 Via De Las Olas, 6/1/16 at 7:50 AM. A 27 year old male was arrested for burglary after entering victim’s home through an unlocked door and taking car keys and a blanket.
• 13800 Sunset, 6/2/16 btwn 7:40 PM and 10 PM. The suspect pried open a window to enter victim’s home and took jewelry.
• 13100 Nimrod Pl, 6/2/16 btwn 7:45 PM and 10 PM. The suspect cut a screen door and attempted to enter victim’s home but failed to do so.

THEFT

• 800 Alma Real, 5/27/16 btwn 4:20 PM and 4:40 PM. The suspect took victim’s purse from a park bench.
• 15400 Sunset, 6/5/16 at 3:20 PM. A 46 year old male was arrested for theft after taking food from victim’s business.

VANDALISM 

600 San Lorenzo, btwn 6/5/16 at 6 PM and 6/6/16 at 10 AM. The suspect damaged the front windshield of victim’s vehicle.

OTHER CRIMES

DUI 

Mandeville Canyon/Sunset, 6/5/16 at 1:35 AM. A 22 year old male was arrested for DUI after being involved in a traffic collision.

Four Sided Tent on Beach

14800 Pacific Coast Hwy, 6/6/16 at 7:45 AM. A 32 year old male was arrested/RFC’d for having a four sided tent on the beach.

Camping on the Beach

15100 Pacific Coast Hwy, 6/6/16 at 7:45 AM. A 32 year old male was arrested/RFC’d for camping on the beach.
