The Griefhaven “Heart to Heart” gala will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Marina del Rey Marriott Hotel. The event will include entertainment featuring the performance of Broadway songs by ACT THREE, as well as a silent and a live auction.
Griefhaven is based in the Palisades and has created a wide variety of unique and ef- fective grief support tools, including support group meetings, individual counseling, emergency and community outreach, and grief educational tools to support parents who have lost a child, siblings who have lost a brother or sister, spouses who have lost a beloved, and others who have lost someone they love, all under the tutelage of Susan Whitmore.
At the gala, the “Peace of Heart” Award will be given to Billy and Patty Grubman, lifetime Beverly Hills residents, and brother-sister team, for their work over the past 30 years with Camp Dream Street, a free camping program for children and young adults with chronic and life threatening diseases.
“Heart to Heart” awards will also be given to Palisadian Anne Roberts, Denise Mandel and Sharon Smiley Lusk.
