The final movie of the 14th season of Movies in the Park will be Beauty and the Beast this Saturday, Aug. 26. Adults and children are urged to come to the Field of Dreams, at the Palisades Recreation Center, in their favorite Beauty and Beast costumes and be eligible to win a prize.
This will also be Haldis Toppel Night at the movies. In honor of her birthday, husband Kurt is sponsoring the film. Both have been longtime leaders in the community.
There will be free hot dogs, cooked by Palisades Rec Center employees and sponsored by Mike Skinner, a past Citizen of the Year.
The major sponsor of Movies in the Park this year has been the Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club. Director sponsors are SEIA, Botham Plumbing and Heating, Gelson’s, realtor Dan Urbach, the Optimist Club, Kehillat Israel, Jody Fine Estates, Marc Michel Eyewear Studio and Maria Elena Tapia, DDS.
Attendees are reminded that alcohol, smoking, stick chairs and pets are not allowed. Showtime is dusk.
