A man and a woman were involved in a violent crash at PCH and Temescal Canyon Road on Thursday morning at approximately 10 a.m., shutting down the PCH southbound lane. The woman had to be removed from her vehicle using a Jaws of Life extrication tool by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Both drivers were transported to area hospitals without serious injuries.
According to a witness report, the woman sustained injuries in the crash and was heard screaming in pain. The male driver was heading northbound on PCH at approximately 60 miles per hour when he lost control and hit the female driver going southbound on PCH.
