Marquez Halloween Festival to be Held Oct. 28

The annual Marquez Halloween Festival will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. The evening ends with an outdoor movie, Hotel Transylvania, which starts at 7 p.m. The community is invited and there is a $5 admission which covers the movie and costume contest.

The contest starts at 5:15 and participants can enter individually or as a family. Contestants will be grouped into categories grades: transitional kindergarten through second grade and third through fifth grade. Costume categories include: most creative, funniest, spookiest, cutest, best movie, best overall and best family.

Fancy Feet will be performing at 5:30.

There will be a Haunted House, a Cake Walk, game booths and prizes, a creepy café and bake sale, arts and crafts and a pumpkin patch, which require tickets that can be purchased at the door or online at friendsofmarquez.com.
