For parents who have children ages 3 to 5, there is a preschool option at the Palisades Recreation Center. The day runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and the cost is $340 per month.
Children will learn shapes, colors, alphabet recognition and letter sounds. For the younger children, there is hand-muscle training (tracing) that leads to the coordination, which allows a child to be able to write his/her name.
Numbers and counting are taught. During circle time, children become familiar with the months of the year, the seven continents and their location.
