Palisades resident Gretchen Lightfoot offers a donation-based yoga class from 9 to 10 a.m. every Wednesday at the Fancy Feet Dance Studio, 881 Alma Real, Suite T-20.
The class is open to all ages, genders and fitness levels. Participants are asked to bring their own mats and are required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability.
“Life is hectic, and finding a way to renew and replenish is important,” said Lightfoot, who completed a 200-hour teacher training with YogaWorks. She is currently participating in a 300-hour training slated to end in February. In addition to private lessons, Mrs. Lightfoot taught a free weekly yoga class at the Palisades Recreation Center from June through September.
“Awareness is key to a Hatha yoga practice, because it serves to keep the practitioner in the present movement, observing and accepting what is,” said Lightfoot. “I am grateful to Emily Kay Tillman at Fancy Feet for allowing me to provide this service for our community in this beautiful studio.”
Suggested contribution per class is $7 to $10. E-mail glglightfoot@yahoo.com for more information. .
