Continuing the Chautauqua Series, Dr. Mary Contini Gordon, author of TIQ SLO’W: The Making of a Modern Day Chief will talk about the lasting impact of Chumash Chief Charlie Cooke, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 18 at 15601 Sunset Boulevard at Wood- land Hall, Temescal Gateway Park. The story includes the collaborative leadership on behalf of Indian sites and parks. Dennis Garcia, Chumash elder, will start the evening with a blessing and add his perspectives to the story.
