An electrical fire was reported late Friday night in the building on Sunset that houses Dry Bar, Kay ‘n Dave’s and Designer Choice Carpets. It was smoke damage mostly. The Los Angeles Fire Department cut holes in the roof to minimize smoke damage and extinguished the fire. They are cleaning up today.
An initial report from a Palisades Patrol officer: At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, smoke was spotted from the CVS parking lot, coming from the top of 15248 Sunset Blvd. Upon arrival, heavy smoke was seen and dispatch was notified to contact LAFD. LAFD arrived and handled, and advised it was an electric fire that started at 15248 Sunset (Kay ‘n Dave’s). Palisades Patrol blocked off all Sunset traffic from La Cruz to Swarthmore for LAFD.
