First Pacific Palisades Rainfall Of the Season

Pacific Palisades received 0.39 inches of rain on Oct. 31, the first measurable precipitation since May 5, when .23 of an inch was recorded. On Nov. 13, a .03 of an inch was added, bringing the precipitation total to .42 of an inch.

The last major rainfall was on March 7 with 1.15 inches according to local rainmeister Carol Leacock, who has the official Los Angeles County rain gauge located in her backyard on Bienveneda Avenue.

The recorded rain season starts July 1 and runs through June 30. Last year at this date, we had 0.06 of an inch. Normal rainfall in the Palisades for this date is 0.98 inches.
