The Palisades-Malibu YMCA and Susan Montgomery of Sotheby’s International Realty are asking residents to help them provide Thanksgiving care packages to the 200 residents at the CalVet Home located on the Veterans Administration West L.A. campus.
There are three ways to participate: 1) collect 220 items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, lip balm, baseball caps, small domino sets or other fun items (remember some vets are women); 2) fill the gift bags on Saturday, November 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at the American Legion Hall at 15247 La Cruz; or 3) deliver the gifts to the veterans. The caravan will leave at 12:30 on November 22.
