‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ Radio Play to be Performed

Start the holiday season by going to the Theatre Palisades Actors’ Troupe performance of the radio play version of “It’s a Wonderful Life,” at 7:30 p.m. tonight, December 3 at Pierson Playhouse, 941 Temescal Canyon Rd. The event is free.

There will be refreshments before and after the 45-minute staged reading, which will feature a 1940s radio station set and actors in period costumes. The radio play is by Joe Landry, who adapted it from the screen version by Frank Capra. The show is directed by Sherman Wayne and produced by Martha Hunter, Maria O’Connor and Charmaine Glennon. Sound effects are by Susan Stangl.

“We are hoping to make this an annual event,” Hunter said.

The 30-member Troupe, which Hunter founded last year, has performed one-acts and monologues. The Troupe is open to any member of Theatre Palisades who has a love of acting and some theater experience.
