The 44th Annual Optimist-YMCA track meet will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at the Palisades High stadium.
The meet is for ages 3 to 15, and kids will compete in their own age group in as many or as few events as they choose.
Register at the YMCA (821 Via de la Paz) before April 23 and the cost is $35. Day of registration is $45. Each participant will receive a track shirt and a ribbon.
Events include 25, 50, 100 and 200 meter races, the long jump, high jump and shot put. There will also be a 400-meter relay race. Track clubs are welcome and encouraged to attend.
