Pacific Palisades Crime Report: Forced Entry, Stolen Vehicles, Booze on the Beach

The following May 24, 2016 crime report was supplied by LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore of the West L.A. Division. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Prevent Vehicle Burglary. Lock your doors and do not leave any property visible.

GRAND THEFT AUTO

Pacific Coast Hwy/Sunset, 5/15/16 btwn 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. The suspect took victim’s vehicle from the street.
Pacific Coast Hwy/Sunset, 5/15/16 btwn 4:30 PM and 5:50 PM. The suspect took victim’s vehicle from the street.

BURGLARY/THEFT from MOTOR VEHICLE

Pacific Coast Hwy/Sunset, 5/17/16 at 4:30 AM. The suspect (male white, 6′ 180 lb, nfd) smashed a window on victim’s motor home but fled when the victim screamed.
700 Ocampo, btwn 5/15/16 at 3 PM and 5/20/16 at 1 PM. The suspect entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and took a gun safe and a handgun.

BURGLARY

16000 Miami Way, 5/16/16 btwn 7:45 AM and 10:30 PM. The suspect forced open a door on victim’s home and took a drum machine.
500 Muskingum Ave, 5/18/16 at 8:30 AM. The suspects (#1 male black, 6′ 165 lb, 20 years, #2 male black, 5’8″ 200 lb, 20 years) entered victim’s home and took a safe and money.
900 Rivas Canyon Rd, 5/20/16 at 10:30 PM. A 26 year old male was arrested for attempted burglary after trying to pry open a door on victim’s home.
17900 Porto Marina, 5/21/16 btwn 12 AM and 9:30 PM. The suspect pried open a door on victim’s home but did not take any property.

THEFT

17300 Sunset, 5/17/16 at 12:15 PM. The suspect (male black, 5’8″ 150 lb, 45/50 years) entered victim’s business and took bottles of alcoholic beverages.
15400 Sunset, 5/16/16 at 1 PM. A 67 year old male was arrested for theft after taking victim’s property and exiting without paying.
17300 Pacific Coast Hwy, 5/21/16 btwn 5 PM and 7 PM. The suspect took victim’s property from the beach.
700 Ocampo, 5/20/16 at 3:45 AM. The suspect (female white, blond hair, nfd) took clothing from victim’s porch.

VANDALISM

1000 El Medio Pl, btwn 5/21/16 at 11 PM and 5/22/16 at 8 AM. The suspect damaged the back of victim’s vehicle.

OTHER CRIMES

Alcoholic Beverage on Beach

Temescal Canyon/Pacific Coast Hwy, 5/15/16 at 2 PM. A 50 year old male was arrested/RFC’d for drinking an alcoholic beverage on the beach.

Illegal Camping

Will Rogers State Beach LGS # 18, 5/10/16 at 7:15 AM. A 64 year old male was arrested/RFC’d for camping on the beach.
