Palisades Crime: Face Scratching, Impersonator Steals $1,500 in iTunes Gift Cards

The following Aug. 29, 2016 crime report was supplied by LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore of the West L.A. Division. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

ROBBERY 

600 Beinveneda, 8/26/16 at 10 AM. The suspect (male white, 5’9″ 160 lb, 16/18 years) pushed victim and the grabbed victim’s phone while victim was recording juveniles leaving a party.

GRAND THEFT AUTO 
1100 Tellem, 8/25/16 at 2:50 AM. The suspects entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and drove it down the block.

BURGLARY/THEFT from MOTOR VEHICLE 

• 600 Jacon, btwn 8/25/16 at 10 PM and 8/26/16 at 6:30 AM. The suspect smashed a window to enter victim’s vehicle and took sunglasses.
• 200 Trino Way, btwn 8/27/16 at 8:30 AM and 8/28/16 at 8:30 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a seat cover.
• 16500 Las Casas Pl, btwn 8/23/16 at 6:45 PM and 8/24/16 at 6:30 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a purse, money, and key.

BURGLARY 

1100 Kagawa, btwn 8/24/16 at 8:45 PM and 8/25/16 at 9:40 AM. The suspect entered victim’s home through an unlocked door and took a watch, knife, and cuff links.

THEFT

• 1300 Marinette Rd, 8/19/16 at 12 PM. The suspect, pretending to be victim’s grandson, tricked victim into giving him $1,500 in iTune cards.
• 17300 Pacific Coast Hwy, 8/21/16 btwn 3 PM and 3:30 PM. The suspect took victim’s purse and money from the ground where victim had left it unattended.

VANDALISM 

500 El Medio, btwn 8/21/16 at 10 PM and 8/22/16 at 7 AM. The suspect knocked off the side view mirror of victim’s vehicle.

Pacific Coast Hwy/Sunset, 8/25/16 btwn 12:15 AM and 12:40 AM. The suspect damaged a door handle on victim’s vehicle.

OTHER CRIMES

Battery

16300 Sunset, 8/26/16 at 8:45 pm. a 51-year-old female was arrested after scratching victim’s face and arm with keys.
