Palisades Crime: Shoplifting Arrest, Theft Duo Pose as Survey Workers

The following Sept. 26, 2016 crime report was supplied by LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore of the West L.A. Division. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

ROBBERY 

17300 Sunset, 9/22/16 at 10:25 AM. A 54-year-old male was arrested for robbery after shoplifting at victim’s business and resisting when confronted by a store employee.

BURGLARY/THEFT from MOTOR VEHICLE 

  • 1000 Corsica, btwn 9/8/16 at 4:30 PM 9/9/16 at  at 3 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a laptop computer, jewelry, and money.
  • 300 E. Rustic Rd, btwn 9/17/16 at 8 PM and 9/24/16 at 8 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a handicap placard and vehicle registration.

THEFT

800 Hartzell, 8/17/16 at 1:30 PM. The suspects (#1 male other, brown hair, 6’1″ 180 lb, 40 years, #2 male other, brown hair, 5’8″ 150 lb, 40 years) posed as a survey company and took money from victim.

16600 Sunset, btwn 9/18/16 at 10 PM and 9/21/16 at 7 AM. The suspect took victim’s jewelry possibly while preparing victim’s home for fumigation.

16900 Livorna, btwn 9/16/16 at 12 PM and 9/17/16 at 10 AM. The suspect (identified), while acting as a caregiver for victim, took money and blank checks.

16300 Shadow Mountain, 9/18/16 btwn 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. The suspect (possibly a guest or housekeeper) took victim’s watch form the den.

OTHER CRIMES

Trespass

20 Latimer Rd, 9/22/16 at 3 PM. The suspect (female black, black hair brown eyes, 5’5″ 140 lb, 20 years) was on victim’s property and may have been planning to break into victim’s home.

Camping on the Beach

Pacific Coast Hwy/Temescal Canyon, 9/21/16 at 2 AM. A 62-year-old male was arrested (RFC) for sleeping/camping on the beach.
