Palisades Crime: Suspect Enters Backyard With Strange Request

The following Sept. 5, 2016 crime report was supplied by LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore of the West L.A. Division. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.


1100 Kagawa, btwn 8/30/16 at 8:30 PM and 8/31/16 at 11 AM. The suspect took victim’s rental vehicle from the street.


  • Temescal Canyon/Sunset, 8/26/16 btwn 10:05 AM and 11:05 AM. The suspect broke the lock on victim’s vehicle and took money, clothing, and keys.
  • 1000 Vista Grande Dr, btwn 8/29/16 at 10:30 PM and 8/30/16 at 5:30 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a wallet and money.
  • 1200 Lachman Ln, btwn  8/29/16 at 7:30 PM and 8/30/16 at 7:30 AM. The suspect entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and took a birth certificate and check book.
  • Temescal Canyon/Sunset, 9/3/16 btwn 7 AM and 7:40 AM. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a wallet and money.
  • 16600 Marquez Ave, 9/1/16 btwn 7 AM and 9 AM. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a bag and shoes.



15000 Corona Del Mar, btwn 8/31/16 at 2 PM and 9/4/16 at 11:30 AM. The suspect entered unoccupied home and took a knife set.


Pacific Coast Hwy/Entrada, 8/29/16 at 2:30 PM. The suspect took victim’s backpack, sunglasses, and towel from the beach where victim had left the property unattended.


  • 1100 Las Pulgas Rd, btwn 8/22/16 at 7 AM and 8/29/16 at 12 PM. The suspect smashed a glass door and window on victim’s home.
  • 17300 Sunset, btwn 8/19/16 at 2:30 PM and 8/26/16 at 3:05 PM. The suspect smashed two windows on victim’s building.
  • 16800 Pacific Coast Hwy, 8/17/16 btwn 2:30 PM and 11:30 PM. The suspect slashed a tire on victim’s vehicle.
  • 500 Muskingum Pl, 9/3/16 btwn 9 AM and 2:45 PM. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle.




  • 17300 Pacific Coast Hwy, 8/29/16 at 10:55 AM. A 25 year old male was arrested for trespass after refusing to leave victim’s business.
  • 1300 Avenida De Cortez, 8/29/16 at 8 AM. The suspect (male black, black hair, 6′, 35 years) The suspect entered victim’s backyard without permission and said he was there to take the children to school.
