Water Main Ruptures, Floods Streets in Pacific Palisades

Approximately 200 feet of residential streets were damaged by flooding in Pacific Palisades on Friday, Oct. 28, reports the Los Angeles Fire Department. This included buckling of the pavement.

According to LAFD, a water main ruptured in the area of 815 Las Lomas Ave. and water flowed into the storm drains, which were able to keep up with the flow. No structures were damaged and several vehicles were moved as a precaution.

There were no injuries, according to LAFD. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power assisted in shutting down the water and the Department of Transportation assisted with traffic control.
