More than 200 students walked to school at the third annual Walk-to-School day on Oct. 5, according to parent and organizer Maryam Zar. Paciific Palisades Honorary Mayor Kevin Nealon was on hand to promote the event at Marquez Charter Elementary School.
“It was a fun-filled morning of community and celebration, with an eye on sustainability,” said Zar, who is also the president of the Pacific Palisades Community Council.
