Palisades Crime: Suspect Flees Homeowner, Smashed Car Windows

The following July 30, 2016 crime report was supplied by LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore of the West L.A. Division. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

BURGLARY/THEFT from MOTOR VEHICLE

  • 800 Haverford, btwn 7/15/16 at 9 PM and 7/16/16 at 9:30 AM. The suspect smashed a window to enter victim’s vehicle and took a backpack and clothing.
  • Temescal Canyon/Sunset, 7/17/16 btwn 7:30 AM and 8:35 AM. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a purse, money, and iPad.
  • Temescal Canyon/Sunset, 7/17/16 btwn 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a medical device.

 

BURGLARY 

  • 700 Toyopa, 7/13/16 btwn 9:15 PM and 9:30 PM. The suspect broke a latch on a sliding door to enter victim’s home. The suspect fled after discovering that victim was home and aware of the entry.
  • 400 Mesa Rd, 7/17/16 btwn 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM. The suspect entered victim’s home and took a laptop computer and speakers.
  • 1300 Duende Ln, btwn 7/11/16 at 11 PM and 7/12/16 at 7:30 AM. A 17 year old female was arrested for burglary after entering victim’s home through an unlocked door and taking victim’s purse and vehicle.

 

THEFT

  • 15700 Bowdoin, btwn 7/6/16 at 8 AM and 7/11/16 at 9 AM. The suspect took money, backpacks, and candy.
  • 500 Mount Holyoke, btwn 7/7/16 at 4 PM and 7/12/16 at 3 PM. The suspect took delivered packages from victim’s home.
  • Sunset/Swarthmore, 7/6/16 at 9 AM and 10:15 AM. The suspect took victim’s bicycle from an alley.

 

OTHER CRIMES

Trespass

  • 17200 Pacific Coast Hwy, 7/13/16 at 10:40 AM. A 35-year-old male was arrested for trespass after refusing to leave victim’s business.
  • Sunset/Pacific Coast Hwy, 7/14/16 at 9:05 PM. A 49-year-old female was arrested for trespass after refusing to leave victim’s business.
