Buses, campers and RVs are removed as far as the eye can see along this troubled Venice thoroughfare
By Nick Antonicello
In a major vehicle sweep of illegally parked vans, buses and campers, Washington Blvd between Lincoln Blvd and the beach has been cleaned and cleared as this photo was taken on April 17th!
This marks a major push back of illegal vehicle overnight parking and an aggressive campaign by LA city officials to remove these vehicles, hopefully for once and for all.
For months the RV encampment crisis along Washington was approaching hostile and dangerous proportions, but this week city officials by all indications are serious about mounting a disciplined policy of no longer tolerating such conditions so close to the beach as we approach the summer months.
Congratulations are certainly in order to those city officials responsible for this extensive cleanup as the quality-of-life for locals as well as tourists is welcomed news as Memorial Day and the beginning of the summer season is just around the corner!
