Cinque Terre WEST to Close This Month

Marlo Vinzoni and Chef Gianbattista “Gianba” Vinzoni Launched Cinque Terre West in 2019

Cinque Terre WEST, a family-owned Italian restaurant located at 970 Monument St. within The Gardens business center, will close its doors on June 23 after five years of operations.

Marlo Vinzoni and chef Gianbattista “Gianba” Vinzoni launched Cinque Terre West in 2019; which stands as one of three restaurants opened by the duo within the Palisades shopping center along with Deliziozo Cinque and wine bar Enoteca 5.

Its website describes the eatery as one that is “reminiscent of the small Mediterranean coastal villages of the Cinque Terre region. We serve authentic regional Ligurian dishes, using locally sourced food, specializing in fresh seafood, daily house-made pastas, fatto a mano (made-by-hand) pizza dough and delizioso cornetti (Italian croissants).”

An array of food outlets praised the Westside restaurant over the years, including EaterLA who stated “Cinque Terre West Osteria is one of those charming finds with handmade pastas, good wines, pizzas, and tons of seafood dishes,” and PureWow who said “This fairly new casual Italian near the bustling Palisades Village might be under-the-radar but they are serving some of the most authentic and delicious Ligurian cuisine.”

Its menu boasts options including the “Spaghetti di Mare” (Homemade Spaghetti, calamari, mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, cherry tomatoes, basil) and the “Branzino Cileno” (Pan Seared Chilean sea bass filet, asparagus, salsa verde).
