The couple purchased the property in June 2018 for $15.6 million and extensively remodeled it
While actor Chris Pratt’s box-office success is well-known, his recent real estate ventures are facing challenges.
Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger have reduced the price of their renovated Pacific Palisades home from $32 million to $25.5 million, according to a report from Realtor.com.
The couple purchased the property in June 2018 for $15.6 million and extensively remodeled it, with the listing now stating it was built in 2021, according to Realtor.
The six-bedroom, 12-bathroom, 12,900-square-foot home, set in a gated enclave, offers views of the Los Padres Mountains and the Santa Monica Bay coastline. The couple frequently showcased their home on Instagram and on Netflix’s “Get Organized With the Home Edit.”
In a separate real estate move, Pratt and Schwarzenegger faced public backlash for demolishing a mid-century modern home in Brentwood to reportedly build a modern farmhouse-style mansion, according to Realtor. The house, known as the Zimmerman House, was designed by architect Craig Ellwood in 1950. Social media users and real estate agents criticized the demolition.
Currently, Pratt and Schwarzenegger own three properties, including their Pacific Palisades home and a farm in Washington state’s San Juan Islands.
Pratt, 44, is known for his roles in “Jurassic World,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and “Parks and Recreation.” Schwarzenegger, 34, is an author and the eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
